学生在自主阅读的过程中，对理解人物特点、把握文章主旨、体会作者的写作意图以及阅读学习技巧等方面存在一定的问题；此外，如何把阅读所得运用到自己的语言表达和习作中，对于学生来说，仍是一个难点。教师通过课堂教学对学生阅读自主学习中存在的问题进行突破。下面是笔者在教学过程中如何开发学生的英语阅读自主学习能力的教学案例。
《新目标英语》七年级上Unit 2“This is my family.”阅读教学片段——指导学生将阅读与表达相结合。
1.教师指导学生阅读文章并填空
2.教师让学生根据图片以及文章，回答以下问题
这样做可以激活学生的已有知识，并在看、说的情况下进行系统归纳。

学生回答：Alan is tall and he's kind.

3.接着，让学生看另一幅图并做介绍
