摘 要：Vijay Bhatia的语类理论在话语分析和ESP研究领域都占有重要地位，产生了重大的影响。近年来Bhatia不断将自己的理论向前推进：职场实践、篇际互文性和多维视角构成了他的语类理论的最新进展——批评语类分析。但是多数研究是对批评语类理论做出一般性的介绍，或者应用于具体的话语分析中，缺少对理论本身的解读和探讨。本文在回顾Bhatia语类理论发展的基础上，通过与批评话语分析的“批评”对比来呈现批评语类分析的具体内涵，分析目标、任务、方法等内容，并评述批评语类分析的贡献与不足。

Criticality of Vijay Bhatia's Critical Genre Analysis

Abstract: Vijay Bhatia's genre theory has been playing an important role in discourse analysis and ESP research over the last few decades. The latest development of his theory includes professional practice, interdiscursivity and multiperspectival approach, which fall under the umbrella of “Critical Genre Analysis”. However, most researches on CGA are about general introductions, or applied analysis of specific discourse types, without a profound understanding of the theory in itself. The paper, based on the review of Bhatia's genre tradition and development, compares CGA with CDA to look into the objectives, tasks and methods for CGA. And comments on the contribution and deficiency of CGA come at the end.
